Kentucky’s Consumer Protection Act prohibits unfair, false, misleading, or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce.   This law helps consumers who suffer damages because of abusive practices by fraud and other deceptive acts in consumer transactions and applies to a broad range of businesses.  For example, new car dealers are subject to liability under the law for failing to disclose certain facts about a vehicle, such as repairs or that a “new” vehicle was previously purchased.
