Craig Henry PLC files suit against Shriners International and Kosair Shrine alleging sexual harassment

Craig Henry PLC recently filed suit against the Kosair Shriners, the Shriner’s International organization, and an individual Shriner on behalf of two young women. In the lawsuit, Mary and Veronica, daughters of a Shriner, allege that they were repeatedly sexually harassed by a Shriner. The lawsuit details multiple Shrine events during which the harasser slapped our clients’ buttocks, grabbed their breasts, kissed them without their consent, and attempted to touch their genitals. According to the lawsuit, this individual started his campaign of harassment when our clients were children.

Kentucky law permits a childhood victim of sexual assault to bring a claim against an organization if the individual who committed the assault was acting as an employee or volunteer of the organization. Because our clients allege they were assaulted by a Shriner at a variety of Shrine-sponsored events, we argue that the Kosair Shrine and the Shriner’s International are responsible for his actions.

If you or a family member have been sexually harassed or assaulted by a member of the Kosair Shrine, the Shriner’s International, the Masons, or any other organization, please call us at 502-614-5962 for a free consultation.
